Movie Quote: Georgia O'Keefe

The scene is a group of brightly clothed native americans as they dance and play music.

Georgia: What does the dance mean?

Tony: It means that you're one with nature, with the earth and sky and the bricks and the river and the beasts in the field... not better or worse not different not separate but all the same... Seeing the dancing, Miss O'Keefe it means, it means, that you ARE the earth and sky.... yes!

RULES

After having a couple crazy dreams that I can't remember now I awoke and got out of bed in the middle of the night and wrote this down...

LIVE BY YOUR HEARTS RULES!
Maturity is being fully aware of how amazing your life really is...

Abundance

Abundance comes in many forms... we are all abundant, which areas of your life have you prioritized to be more than others.... and what does that reveal about each of us...

What if we sought to balance our abundance like our check books?  How about all areas in just the perfect amount for us?

Failure

"What would you do if you knew you could not fail"

It's odd to contemplate failure because sometimes failure is necessary for you to either get on the right path or in a new direction or become stronger and more resilient.

So is there really any way of failing?
  • maybe just moments of feeling this way
  • maybe the ignorance to see the connection

Artist

Once upon a time.... a King was very proud that he had the most beautiful art in his castle, he spent many hours just gazing at the master pieces his personal artist would create. One day as he was wondering through his kingdom he noticed a peddler artist on the side of the road selling paintings and couldn't help but comment that his art was good but that his artists' was the best in all the kingdom. The peddler artists asked the King..."how do you know?" The King recognizing the question was valid he challenged the peddler to a competition between him and his artist. The entire kingdom crowded around as they saw the two artist with their easel's draped with a cloth... the first to unveil was the King's artist... It was the most beautiful bowl of fruit, it was so realistic that a bird flew down and tried to snatch a piece but ran into the canvas instead.... The King exclaimed "you see my artist is so good he even fooled nature." The peddler artist was next to unveil and as the King went to unveil it he ran into the canvas noticing that the clothed canvas was his art and was embarrassed the peddler exclaimed "you see, your artist may have been able to fool nature but I was able to fool you"

Refinement

A refined tea will not get bitter as it steeps in water and can be drank up to 48 hours after first brewed with the leaves still left in...

isn't that a great metaphor for a human being... the more refined the less bitter you become!

Nietzsche Quote

"I believe we are in one of the greatest crises, a moment of the deepest self-reflection of humanity.  Whether we recover from it, whether we become masters of this crisis, is a question of our strength.  It is possible..."

Captivating

If we new all the answers to the questions.... what would be left to captivate us?

Inspiration for this blog...

As a yoga instructor, I tend to come up with phrases and invent words to describe the spiritual, emotional and physical language of the yoga practice.  Through the years I have had a few people mention that I should put a book together with all of my "Jenn-isms" as they called them.... well maybe one day I'll have enough to make a book but for now I am going to enjoy blogging them on this site...
